Latest Updates from Our Project:

Shipping Update -- Things are *FINALLY* moving!
about 2 years ago – Sat, Jan 22, 2022 at 07:18:10 AM

Hi folks! Yet another quick shipping update.

The mats sat in customs for OVER 40 days (which is awesome... thanks US customs agency)

They are FINALLY moving towards me now and are scheduled to be delivered at my door in a week, at which time we'll start all the fun of unboxing/rolling/stickering/tubing a few thousand mats, then we can start shipping individual orders.

I'll post another update when things start shipping out to backers -- as I did last time, I'll start with the larger orders first and work my way down towards the smaller orders. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding in this insane logistical time we live in -- it's been hard for all tabletop creators due the crazy stresses covid has put on the global supply lines and shipping infrastructure, but we'll all get through it together. Cheers!

Another Shipping Update
over 2 years ago – Thu, Dec 23, 2021 at 01:12:23 AM

Hi folks! After my last update on shipping delays, I've been monitoring things closely and communicating with the logistics company. The package was offloaded on 12/9 and has been in customs since then. Unfortunately I have no visibility into how long it will be tied up there due to the insane shipping backups plaguing the whole country but hopefully they are released soon.

I know you're all very anxious to get these mats in your hands, and I'll do my best to keep you informed as things get moving! Once I *finally* get these in my hands though, I assure you we are setup and ready to pack/ship these as fast as we humanly can!

In the meantime, have a safe and happy holiday season with your families! -Evan

Quick Update on Shipping
over 2 years ago – Mon, Dec 06, 2021 at 07:27:51 AM

Hey folks! Well, as I'm sure all of you have heard by now the shipping delays for anything coming overseas are CRAZY right now.

The mats left the manufacturer on 10/22 (73 cartons of them). At this point they are *somewhere* in a container ship off the coast of California, along with the 50-100  other ships waiting to unload. I had previously hoped to receive the mats by late Nov, but at this point I'm just (optimistically) hoping to receive them sometime in December.

As I noted before, everything else (tubes, labels, stickers, etc) is already sitting here ready to rock. I even have some family members lined up help speed pack/ship these bad boys whenever they arrive, in an attempt to make up for some lost time. But we are still at the mercy of the shipping delays at the moment!

Obviously I'm frustrated with these delays, and am so sorry that the mats are going to be delivered later than expected -- but thus is the state of the world we're living in currently!

I'm checking the UPS shipping info every day, and as soon as they are de-shipped and loaded for ground transport to my home, they'll be updated and we'll have better visibility into a timeline. In the meantime, here's a shot of all the shipping/packing tubes just waiting eagerly to be stuffed with mats in my garage:

Stay tuned for more updates, and sorry again for the delays!

Quick Update
over 2 years ago – Tue, Oct 19, 2021 at 03:48:33 PM

Hi folks! Not much to report from my end here, but I wanted to drop you a quick note to say that the mats just came off the production line and are all packed up and ready to ship! They will be leaving for the US within the next day or two.

Coincidentally I was just at a wedding in Huntington Beach, California a week ago and saw first-hand the line of 80+ container ships waiting to get into the port of Los Angeles. It definitely made me nervous regarding reported estimated shipping times to my door for packing, but--as ever--I remain optimistic!

I'll keep you updated as I know more from the logistics provider when things get moving in transit. Cheers!

Pledge Manager + Production/Shipping Timeline
over 2 years ago – Tue, Sep 28, 2021 at 08:15:41 PM

Hi folks, hope you're well!

Pledge Manager

The vast majority of you have completed the pledge manager already.  A few folks asked me for more time so they could add more mats to their pledge, so I kept it open longer than I initially planned.  My new plan to close the pledge manager and start charging cards this coming weekend, so please finalize your pledge when you get a chance! If you need more info, check this update HERE

**PLEASE NOTE** - If you don't finalize your pledge on BackerKit before it closes, you may not get to choose the mat designs you wish for your order!!

Timeline Update

I have placed the production order for the mats to the manufacturer (China supplier), finalized all the shipping boxes/tape/stickers/etc (USA suppliers) and am placing the tube order this week (USA supplier).

I wanted to give you all a timeline for expectations for production and shipping. As is often the case with logistics, particularly in the time of Covid, things aren't moving as fast as I would like. The media is filled with stories about hundreds of shipping vessels backlogged and waiting to unload in ports like Los Angeles, crazy high shipping cost, and material delays.

All that said, I still have a clear view/plan to delivery.  Unfortunately the cost of international shipping from the supplier to me has nearly doubled since planning this campaign, and USPS is increasing their rates for domestic and international shipping in November also - meaning this campaign will be less financially successful than previously hoped. But, that won't stop us from delivering DungeonMats to your gaming tables!

Here's a breakdown of my timeline, based on the manufacturer's production schedule and current shipping timelines (which unfortunately can change, but this is all the data I have at the moment):

-------------

Unfortunately we are all going to be at the mercy of the crazy state of global shipping caused by the current economic pandemic and crisis, so I appreciate your understanding as we work hard to get these in your hands as soon as possible!

Let me know if you have any questions, and as always, I truly appreciate your support!
